I have been painting for a season in San José (California) and already from Barcelona, with the perspective of environmental change, I explain to you how my experience has been in this place.
I have lived with an Indian family, I explain, from India, not American Indians. For a month and a half I have lived with them, I have shared laughter, spicy meals and even classes of artistic painting with their children. They certainly became a second Indian-American family. An entire experience at all levels. I hope to see you again.
Returning to the artistic perspective I explain to you the rooms in which my murals are now part of their lives. I painted several spaces that I will now teach you. Among them are several hand-painted murals in different areas of the house. The first in the dining room living room, then the walls of a office with a chinoiserie, and a header in a bedroom, well actually all the painted wall type trampantojo.
We started with the dining room. In this is a landscape in which the green predominate. East mural serves to give perspective and depth to space. In many cases we seek to give a sense of amplitude and this is a perfect option. To stress that in the design of this wall paint India's aesthetics and culture have been taken into account. These details that refer to them are found in several elements. First and more clearly, the real turkeys often represented in this country. In the background, an Indian temple can be observed on the water inspired by the Jal Mahal, and the third wink is a Kramer plateau that is also found in that country.
The second one, it's a decorative paint on walls of an office style chinoiserie. First, there is a papyrus background, which serves to give texture to the elements and details that come on top. On this background are painted birds, herons, butterflies as well as different floral motifs with golden touches.
The third is a wall painting simulating a landscape and arches in the bedroom. This kind of mural are called trompe l'oeil, French term meaning eye trap or trampantojo. It represents an alternative reality painted by simulating in this case a landscape with soft tones. Waterfalls, mountains, and some birds on distant planes contrast with the great arches with geometries in gold and columns represented in foreground with great realism.
It was a gift to mix two of my passions, the artistic painting and travel. Thank you family for trusting me and welcoming me! See you soon...
