I once thought that a different way to enjoy art, drawing, painting would be to share it with someone different, I'm away from my surroundings at that time, friends... Spin it around. I decided that a good choice would be to give art drawing and painting classes to older people., go to a residence and see if you're interested, if I can contribute anything. This is how I started about 8 years ago at the Felix Llobet to teach all those who wanted to. Some of those students have been from the beginning, sharing that love for art. Excursions to exhibitions, drawing classes, which in some cases may cost a little more, in the background the theory is understood. No one had explained to them how the lights, the shadows, the proportions, the prospects, which is a point of escape...
I remember one of those classes explaining that, in order to be able to represent or draw a light, the environment had to be shaded and darkened so that the contrast would occur and thus enhance it. One of my students, Esther, commented: «As in life, sometimes it is necessary to stay in the dark to see clearly where the light comes from». What deep truth?
The years passed and that student, Esther, has become my grandmother. Sharing and discovering that hobby has brought us together as the family you choose. Who would tell me? It sounds like topical but, one goes with the intention to give and turns out it gets muuuuucho more.
After years as well as recognizing us as a grandmother and a granddaughter, I also wanted to recognize the hidden talent. I have never drawn or painted and see the drawings that he does, what he has learned, what I have been able to teach him, what we have shared, is Magic. The Universe wanted to introduce us, there is no other explanation.
